OCMS Community Foundation

The Oklahoma County Medical Society Community Foundation has been helping to improve the lives of our citizens since 1966. Its mission is to fund projects that improve or safeguard the health of our citizens and the community as a whole. For more information on any of these programs, contact us.  We accept donations for any of these programs.

Physician Wellness Program

Established in 2017, this program helps physicians address problems and concerns with a trained psychologist. OCMS provides up to 8 free, confidential counseling sessions for member physicians. No insurance billing, no records kept, with convenient hours for physicians. Every day, physicians face mandates, stress at home, clerical burdens, requirements, lost passion, burnout and pressure. We are here to help.

Medical Student Scholarship

In 2011, OCMS created the OCMS Community Foundation Medical Student Scholarship to help medical students pay tuition. Applications go out in the fall through the OU School of Medicine and scholarship(s) are awarded in the spring.

Summer Fundraiser

Each summer, OCMS members donate to a special fund that helps support a variety of non-profit health-related organizations in Oklahoma County. Board members include OCMS members and community members. Previous recipients of funding include the Health Alliance for the Uninsured, Schools for Healthy Lifestyles, Hearts for Healing, Infant Crisis Services, the C.A.R.E. Center, ITN Central Oklahoma, and Special Care.
